Discontinuation Of Services -- Important Annoucement

Welcome back to Aclevo, and Merry Christmas to all of you.

With 2018 coming to a close, and 2019 on the rise, there has been some inner discusion about our current goals, what should be changed, and how we should be approaching 2019. Sadly, our final decisions with what we are planning to do will result in some services to be either reduced or be thrown away for good in return for new services that will be planned. You will learn more about these new goals and what we plan for the future in an upcoming blog post later in 2019 once we finalize our ideas and put them into motion. (It will be really exciting, trust me.) With that said, and to not accidently spoil something, let's talk about what's being axed in 2019.

Author's Note: Please note that this blog post will be a little short as we will only be talking about the services that will shut down. We will not talk about the reasons why we are discontinuing these services right now because that would spoil some surprises that are coming in the not-too-distant future.

The TreeHouse Discord Server

While the server has already been closed for a few months, we decided that we should mention that it's no longer being used in this blog post. The TreeHouse Discord Server has been removed from our Social Media section on the home page, and we are still working on removing the link to it in our YouTube Videos. We hope to remove all mentions of this by 2019, but we wish to keep it as a mounument of something that used to be part of Aclevo. We do not have any intentions to bring it back to life at this time, but we may decide to if the community wishes strongly enough for it to return. We shall make no promises to what will happen in the future, however.

We have kinda spoiled that this would happen earlier in the year, but this is the verification. By 2019, there will be no more activity on our Twitter, leaving it as an archive for everyone to see our history with it. This includes both @AclevoReal and @AclevoTwo. It has yet to be decided whether to lock the account and make it private after a certain time, but we wish to maintain a publicity of our history to showcase the achievements we've worked for. Whether some tweets will be removed from our timeline has also yet to be discussed as well. If any tweets are to be removed, they will include ones that are deemed low quality and those that would gain no satisfaction to our community.

We've had some issues with using YouTube before due to problems with monetization. We are also not profiting from using it to keep Aclevo alive. Therefore, we will also be discontinuing the use of YouTube as well. This counts for both the first and second channels we've had. We are not sure what we will be doing with these channels as of this time. We may decide to make backup copies of all the content and delete it entirely off of YouTube's servers by 2019. This means our videos will no longer be accessible on this service, as well as any playlists currently on there now. We discourage the community from downloading all the videos off our channel at this time, and ensure that there is no reason to panic from this happening.

While this may come as a surprise to our community, we are also planning on getting rid of SoundCloud, even though it is at it's alpha stage. The entire account is expected to be removed from the website, and any songs that were uploaded there are expected to be deleted by the time the account is. Inactivity really did not help with keeping the SoundCloud alive, and we do not have any reason to keep this account up and running right now. Again, there is no reason to panic from us taking down stuff as you will see in the future. (And yes that's your only guess to what's going on.)

More Services?

We do not have any information about the removal of further services from Aclevo as of this time. We do plan to update this blog post however if such is to happen. Be sure to also look out for the upcoming blog post released in 2019 (it should be our first one) for more information about what's going to change. We may also give out some hints on our website about what we are currently on about as well, but don't expect there to be any major spoilers about what's going on.

We wish you a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Years 2019! See you on the other side!
